was chatting with my mum today about childhood games.. dunno why we started on this topic but we ended with a conclusion that children nowadays are quite miserable..
why?
my mum was telling me, when they were young, their generation, neighbours are all very close.. there are like 8 families living together in a 3 storey building.. and the kids will always run downstairs to buy ice kachang and sit by the roadside and eat.. or they will gather together for hide and seek at the back lane of their house or spend 5 cents to buy paper balloons.. though life were tough for the kids but they enjoyed it very much..
then ish our generation! from our generation onwards people start to live in HDB flats.. when i was young i used to stay at my grandma house.. and i remember i would go knocking at my ah mah neighbour's door and call the kids out to play at the corridor.. when i move back my house, even more fun! cuz there are like 4 families on our storey and all with little children! (ok i was still a small kid at that time)so every evening, we would go out to the corridor to play and cycle.. or we would gather our toys out to the corridor and share.. or the big kor kors will piggyback me and my bro around..lolx~ those were the times.. and and! we would have parties at the corridor too! like christmas or new year..
in schools, i remember i would skip recess and play 'sunday-monday' with my group of hao jie mei.. sunday-monday was a super popular game amongst the girls in our generation in primary school.. if not, we would be playing hopscotch, zero point or five stones.. aye~ those were the days without technology..
then comes the present generation.. doubt the children nowadays ever experience the feeling of playing together with neighbours at the corridor, chasing each other around and even to the extend of rolling down the stairs (happened to me before.. that is tong nian! liddat then fun! hehe~) the current generation emphasize on studies studies and studies! monday english tuition, tuesday piano class, wednesday swimming lesson blah blah~~ the tong nian of these kids are haunted by stress and endless schedule of activities planned and organise by their parents.. *patpat* i pity them.. really.. they would play computer games instead of our card games, and they would collect pokemon cards and hook onto gameboy when we only can collect sailor moon stickers from the 'maggie' snacks last time..
haix.. i really do pity them.. kids are losing their innocent smiles..

today went k box with Holidays! soooo long nv go k together le.. but today a bit 'leng chang'
cuz everyone's too feng in front.. towards the end cc and joyce fall asleep.. lolx.. cc haven slept for more than 4 hours cuz she's on night shift before meeting us.. anyway tonight last day le!! welcome to the jobless gang!! *open arms* gao xing bah? lolx.. shiru ish also looking restless, celin got sore throat and i suddenly got a bad headache.. haha.. not good.. we left at around 7.30pm and went dinner at

Club.. lolx! after dinner we went to take neoprints! with our jumpers on.. finally! Holidays taken our first neoprint together!!

anyways 31 march ish xiaodao birthday!
if anyone still remembers him, he is the fifth member of 5566, hurt his back and went to L.A for treatment.. and i doubt he would ever return again.. heard fufu say he had set up a small business at L.A and ish doing pretty well.. lucky i still have all 5 of them de signature.. *phew*
